Today me and Mommy went to my buddy Jack's birthday party. It was really fun and it was nice of his mommy to still invite me even though I am busy with school now. Unfortunately it was during my naptime and today turned out to be one of those days that I really needed a nap! I made it about halfway through the party before I had a meltdown. Oh well, at least I got to show off my new walking skills to everyone. I also got to play in Jack's playroom which I just love. He had a little guitar in there and Mommy was really impressed that I knew how to strum the strings. Duh, I was just playing the guitar like Murray (from the Wiggles). I am glad I got to go to the party, and at least nobody tried to get me to eat a cupcake, yuck!

Today wasn't nearly as boring as every other day this week has been!

This morning Grandpop Bill came over and we all went to the mall. I loved being able to walk around without it being so crowded. We went to the play area and it was really fun. Then finally it was time for lunch! I got my ususal, chicken nuggets kids meal from McDonalds. This time the lady screwed up (again) and gave me the big kid toy instead of the toddler toy. I was really glad though, cause the big kid toy was this awesome skelton guy from Pirates of the Carribean! I liked playing with it so much I held it all through lunch and the whole car ride to speech!

Yup, I had speech today for the first time in many many weeks. It was extra fun cause Grandpop Bill was there to watch. The best part of my session was that Mommy signed me up for summer speech camp while we were there!! I get to go for a half a day twice a week for 6 weeks this summer. It will be just like school with other kids and snack and everything! I can't wait!!! FYI, I didn't get to go to summer speech camp last year because I couldn't walk. Not gonna be a problem this year!! Yay!!!

I was in a really great mood today! Not sure why, I just was. I was happy to play and sit and read books all day long and didn't fuss at all. I was also extra good when Mommy left me with Grandma Berta for a little bit today. I didn't even cry when Mommy put me to bed, which is something I have been doing all week...and so bad Mommy had to lay down with me every night.

Tonight, after Mommy put Cooper to sleep she said it was time for my bath. She opened the gate to upstairs and went up to turn on the water. She said " You ready for your bath, Quinn?" Well, I was so I followed her upstairs. She expected me to crawl up the stairs cause I am pretty good at that. But when she came out of the bathroom she found me halfway up the steps, walking!!! I was holding onto the rail with both hands and doing a really good job. Boy, did Mommy look surprised!!! I love to surprise my Mommy!! :)

Happy World Down Syndrome Day!

Today is my day! It is World Down Syndrome Day cause it is 3-21 ...get it? Cause I have three 21st chromosomes! Well, actually I have two and a half but who's counting? World Down Syndrome Day is such a major holiday that the schools aren't even open! That may have something to do with the fact that it is also Good Friday though :)

Whatever, just don't forget to celebrate me!!!!

I have done a couple of neat walking things in the last few days that Mommy hasn't seen me do before.

1. I can stand! I know it seems weird, but even though I could walk I wasn't very good at standing still. I have been standing still a lot in the last couple of days.

2. Walking backwards! I have even taken some steps backwards a few times. That is actually a pretty handy skill, especially when I am trying to avoid my brother.

3. Dancing!!!! Yup, today the Wiggles were on and I walked over in front of the tv and stood there and danced for a few minutes. I still had to be careful so I couldn't really get my groove on, but I did my best.

I am also walking faster and steadier than I was before. This walking stuff is pretty cool!

I am all better and finally back to school! I am so glad to be back in school. I have been in a great mood the last two days. I am really gonna be sad next week when I have spring break!

Quinn has been sick again! We took him to the doctor on Wednesday and he has a sinus infection and both ears are infected. It has been a rough week for him. I left him alone in the playroom yesterday for only a few minutes. I went back to check when I heard snoring. This is what I found!

I am doing great with my new big boy bed! I haven't gotten stuck anywhere in my room since Mommy took those pictures, and I have fallen asleep in my bed the last two nights! Of course, this morning I emptied my sock drawer (at least what I could reach through the opening before the childproofing stopped me), but that is to be expected because I really love socks!!

Today was really fun. First I went to school and we had our pictures taken. Not sure how my picture came out but if it isn't too bad Mommy will buy it and post it on here. Then as we were getting ready to go to the playground Mommy, Cooper, and Grandpop Bill showed up! I showed them how I can walk pretty good with my backpack on, and they were all impressed. Then we went to play on the playground, which Cooper really liked. After that we all went to lunch at Wendy's. I have been eating out enough with Grandpop now that I know to steal his french fries. He is always stealing mine so this time I reached over and took a couple of his. Mommy thought that was really funny :)

No Daddy tonight, he had to work late. I got to cuddle with Mommy and watch Go, Diego, Go so it wasn't too bad. I did miss him though.
