I am so glad Grandma Berta finally got up the nerve to drive to the shopping center! She bought me two really cool shirts and matching shorts! She even put them in a gift bag just for me and I kept taking them out to look at them, they are really cool. The one shirt has cars all over it and I really like it.

This morning Mommy took Cooper to Gymboree so I hung out at home with Grandma Berta. We had a great time playing with my piggy bank. Grandma is an expert at all kinds of banks, she worked at one for a long time. What fun it must have been to play with all that money all day!

Today was my last lazy weekday morning for a while. Summer school starts on Monday! The bus driver called to let Mommy know that she will pick me up at 8:15 AM. That is really early, it must be one long bus ride to get to my new school!!!

Mommy got her hair cut today. I don't like it!! Everything was fine and we were cuddling and then I took a closer look at her and all the sudden I wasn't sure she was still my Mommy! It is really short and really different. What was so wrong with always having your hair in a ponytail, Mommy? I liked it that way!

Grandma Donna came over today and she helped us do two cool things to the house. First she got rid of all the junk on the back patio and arranged our patio funiture and toys. Me and Cooper played out there for a long time tonight and it was so much fun!!! Then she and Daddy moved the futon into my room. It is right under the window so I can finally stand on something and look out! Plus I won't have to lay on the floor for diaper changes anymore. Yay!

Today was Loyola Speech day! We got there early so I got to crawl around, get into everything, and drive Mommy crazy. I even found the motor room! Score! I did a pretty good job during my session. I signed "cow", which I have never done before...those animal signs are confusing. Lisa, my therapist, pushed me pretty hard today. She kept making me sign "all done" before I could move on, and I really didn't like that. I think she pushed me a little too far because I lost it right before we left. I cried all the way to the car and didn't calm down until Mommy found a good song on the radio for me to dance to :(

Besides that it was a really fun day. I got to play with G. Grandma Berta and watch the Simpsons with Daddy.

Daddy is home! Daddy is home!!!!

We are all so glad that Daddy is home. He got here tonight right before I went to bed. Good thing too, cause I went to sleep early cause I had a rough night. I woke up at 3 AM really upset and all I wanted to do was hug Mommy. Mommy said she really isn't that into hugging at 3 AM. After I calmed down she left the light on for me and gave me some books to read. I didn't get a lot of sleep.

I had a fun day playing with Cooper and Grandma Berta. I fed myself applesauce for breakfast (even though I kept stopping to sign "banana"), and some sweet potatoes for dinner. Gosh, I am good!

Tommorow Daddy is staying home from work so he can play with me and Cooper all day! Yay!

I had a big day today! It started out in the morning when I woke up in the port-a-crib at Grandma Jan's house and decided to climb right out! I feel pretty hard on my head and was pretty upset. I recovered enough to go out to breakfast at Bob Evans...yum!

Before my nap Grandma Jan and Grandpa Don brought us home. Grandpa Don told Mommy that I was doing pretty good at feeding myself with a spoon. So even though she had her doubts, Mommy let me eat my oatmeal all by myself tonight! I did a great job! I ate almost a whole bowl full and got almost all of it in my mouth. I also didn't even try to throw the bowl so that is a big deal too. Feeding myself with a spoon is a big accomplishment and nobody even worked that hard on teaching me too!

Another thing I finally figured out how to do is get into my Spiderman chair! For the longest time I couldn't seem to figure out how to sit in it without Mommy's help. Well today I just crawled right over and climbed in, no problem! Things are really starting to happen for me, maybe that whole "walking" thing will click soon too!

This morning I had my first Loyola speech session for the summer! I met my new therapist, Lisa, she was really nice! Once I get her properly trained she will be perfect :) We blew bubbles and played with the computer. Then finally she took me to the motor room! There was a water table in there (just like at school) and I had a great time splashing around.

Then this afternoon I had a doctors appointment. It was my three year check up but just a little late. I was perfectly behaved and completely cooperated ( no really, I did!). I got weighed on the big boy scale and just held on to the front while I was standing on it. I had to get one shot and I didn't even cry! I could tell Mommy was mighty proud of me.

So now that I am three we don't use the Down Syndrome growth chart anymore. I am on the regular one now!!! I weighed 29 pounds ( 25th percentile) and am 34.5 inches tall (5th percentile).

This morning Mommy took Cooper somewhere and I got to hang out at home with Great Grandma Berta. It was so much fun, I got to watch TV the whole time!!! Then when Mommy got home she made me a yummy grilled cheese sandwich. I ate the whole thing! Ever since Mommy discovered that I really don't like wheat bread the sandwiches have gotten better:)

Tonight for dinner we had Criminally Delicious BBQ Beef, and it was killer! I really liked it and ate so much off Mommy's plate that she had to get more. I am just like Daddy, BBQ is the best! Maybe when I get a little older me and Daddy can go out for meat popsicles (ribs) together!

Today we went downtown to see Pat Winders for PT. It was actually lots of fun and I didn't cry at all. I did lots of one handed walking and she was really impressed. She also figured out that I am really competitive with Cooper. She kept giving him my toys and making me walk over to take them away! Then we had a race down the hallway. Cooper is already so good at walking, how does he do it? He makes it look so easy :(

After we got home and took a nap Grandma Donna and Great Grandma Berta came over for dinner. We had chicken and french fries, it was yummy!

This morning Mommy took me and Cooper for a long walk in the wagon, Grandma Berta came too! It was so much fun!!! Mommy gave me my own sippy cup to drink on the ride and I held it and drank for the first half, then I started throwing it out of the wagon. That is just what I do, it really made Mommy mad though...she said next time I can just have a drink when we get home!

Tonight we went to Grandma Donna's house to celebrate Father's Day and Cooper's birthday. I have to admit, I did not like celebrating Cooper's birthday. I like to get all the attention, and tonight Cooper was getting most of it. Not only did he get all the presents and all the cards, but he had to show off and walk all the way across the living room!! I got really mad and was in a bad mood until all the birthday stuff was over. It was a fun night though, Aunt Becky and AJ and Jeffrey were there and we played a bunch. Then we had chicken for dinner and it was really yummy.

I had another really fun day at school today! And when I got off the bus (yes I was still awake, but barely) Great Grandma Berta was there to greet me! She lives right next door now so I am gonna get to see a lot more of her. Yay! Tonight Grandma Donna came over for dinner but I was too tired to share her food. I was so fussy that I just watched Signing Time and then went to sleep.

Tommorow is a big day! Mommy, G.G. Berta, and Grandpa Don are all gonna come see me at school. It is going to be my classes open house/field day/ picnic! Actually, Mommy isn't sure what it is going to be, but she will write all about it tommorow. Then Thursday is my last day of school. I am really going to miss my class and Ms. Carol. But in a few weeks I start summer school so that should be exciting!!!

Saturday was so much fun!!! Grandma Jan and Grandpa Don took us to a petting zoo! Both me and Cooper got to ride a pony! It was his first time but as you all know, I am a seasoned equestrian :) We got to see some really cool animals and it was so much fun. After that we went back to their house and played in the pool. It was a really great day!!

Today we all just hung around the house. I slept pretty late and then we played and watched some TV. My PT called Mommy for a little chat about my goals for the summer. She told Mommy how almost everyday when Ms. Janine goes to the office to deliver something she takes me with her. I walk in my walker and one of the other kids comes with us to encourage me! She said I walk the whole way and never even try to get down and crawl. Mommy told her there are a lot of things that I will do at school that I won't do at home!

Tonight Grandma Jan and Grandpa Don came over to get our dining room table. It was nice to play with them for a little bit. Me and Grandma read some books and sang some songs. We are getting a new table tommorow. Guess what else we are getting??? Great Grandma Berta!!!! Tommorow is moving day and she is moving in right next door! I am so excited that I am gonna get to see her all the time now!!!

School was fun today! It has been so hot Mommy has been letting me wear shorts to school! Well, the heat and the fact that all my long pants are dirty :) My teacher told her it was fine because they usually walk with me and I don't crawl too much there. My knees were really dirty when I got home today though!

Instead of taking a nap today we went to Virginia! I had to get my Sure Steps checked again. I probably should have slept on the way but Mommy was playing all this great music so I danced the whole time. Yup, almost an hour and a half of carseat dancing! By the time we got there I was pretty tired, but I was really good. I showed the guy how my walking has improved and let him mess with my feet. He told Mommy to make sure and call when I start walking. Hello?? She is gonna call everyone she knows when I start walking! She said he will probably hear her cheering all the way in Virginia.

I slept the whole way home and then went to sleep early. It was a really long day!

Today was awesome! I went to school and that was fun as usual. Then instead of taking the bus home Grandpa Don came and picked me up!!! We went to Friendlys for lunch and played a little, then he took me back to his house for a nap. When I woke up Grandma Jan was there and we all went out to dinner....to Chuck E. Cheese!!!! It was so much fun. I had a great time playing and watching the characters sing and dance. I ate pizza and even rode one of the little rides! Pictures will be coming soon. It was soooo much fun!!!

Today was our annual Down Syndrome picnic! Unfortunately it was raining, but they were really smart and rented an inside room just in case. I have to say I just love being around so many of my "people". People with extra chromosomes are also extra awesome! There was a DJ and a lot of the bigger kids were dancing. Well, I love to dance so I crawled out onto the dance floor and shook it! Grandpop Bill tried to pull be to the side so I wouldn't get stepped on, but I was having none of that, I wanted to boogie!

It was a great party! Outback Steakhouse catered it (for free!) and I hear the food was really good, even though I wouldn't touch it. It was great cause both sets of grandparents were there plus some of Grandpa Don's relatives. I love spending time with my family! I wish the party hadn't been during my nap time, cause I probably would have had more fun....but that is okay. Can't wait till next year, maybe I will surprise everyone by dancing standing up! Keep your fingers crossed!!!

Quinn being a goofball in the baby pool at Grandma Jan's house.

Quinn loves the water, but Cooper screams through every bath. Here Cooper decided he would just stick with drinking water.

Quinn was having such a great time in the pool, even Cooper couldn't resist checking it out.

We didn't get to go to field day today, and there were no snowballs. What a let down! I guess I have to wait until I am in the first grade. We did get to play with playdoh so that was fun. My bus was really late getting me home today and Mommy was nervous. I didn't mind, I always just go to sleep anyway.

Mommy and me watched a little bit of her favorite movie today "Hair". I really liked it cause of all the music and dancing, but she turned it off. She said she remembered how she had nightmares when she was a kid cause she watched "Tommy" with Uncle Ben and Uncle Ian. Oh well, I wasn't too upset because she put Wiggles on instead.
