It was a nice relaxing day. I didn't have any therapy and we didn't go anywhere. We did play a bunch. We rolled the ball back and forth and I am getting to be an expert at pushing it to Mommy. Sometimes I hold onto it so I can look at Spongebob though. I ate some more cheese puffs today. They are great and I think they are even helping me learn to get the cheerios in my mouth too. The only problem is that Mommy says I have cheesy breath, but she still kisses me anyway!

I got to play with Daddy a bunch when he came home so that was really cool. Then everyone cuddled in bed until it was time for me to go to sleep. I love rolling around Mommy's bed and trying to grab Portia!

Today was all about the food. I had my first cheese curl today, and my second, and my third. They are really yummy and I can hold them easy and bite pieces off easy. I also had a cheese tortollini which was extra yummy. But Mommy only gave me one cause then she remembered that the sauce was pesto and had nuts in it. I can't really have nuts till I am two, but she promised to save some without sauce next time.

My OT came over and she wanted to see how I was eating. I was way to busy staring at her to eat, so we just moved on to pointing! She was showing me how to keep my pointer finger seperate from the other ones.

The big news is I can walk! Kinda....I used to just stand there when Mommy held my hands, but now I can lift my feet and take real steps! It is my newest trick, I really wanted to show Lindalee tommorow, but she isn't coming over. She had to go see her sick Grandma in Boston. I understand, Grandmas are very important people!

It was another good day today. Daddy's Uncle Warren called and asked if I wanted chicken nuggets when we go to the wedding. Mommy said no, she told me if I grew some teeth then I could eat chicken nuggets. Till then it is sweet potatoes for dinner!

Not much else exciting happened today. Mommy and me played with my ball and I am getting really good at rolling it back and forth. I also practiced pulling up on my wagon, which I am getting very good at. I also kept trying to crawl into the bottom of my excersaucer, but I am not quite sure how to do it yet. Maybe when Lindalee comes over she can show me!

Today was so much fun! When I woke up Mommy gave me the present that she bought me on her trip. It is a stick that has green glitter inside, I just love it! I like to wave it in the air and talk, I played with it all day. I also got to play with my train, which I missed doing while I was at Grandma's. I like to turn it on its side, push the go button, and watch the wheels go round. Mommy says I remind her of Daddy when I do that!

We had to take Portia to the doctor today to get her shots. I felt bad for her cause I know how much that hurts! It was lots of fun to see all those other puppies at the vets office though. And when the lady told Mommy how much it was gonna cost ($200!) I made a big razzberry, cause that was nothing...don't forget my hospital bill was $98,000.00!

Well, I am finally home so I can update my blog. Mommy and Daddy went to Niagara Falls for a couple of days so me and Portia went to stay at Grandma Jan and Grandpa Don's. I would have updated from there, but they still have dial-up, if you can believe that!! :)

I had a great time at Grandma's. We went for lots of walks, to the Rainforest Cafe, and to one of Grandpa Don's relatives house. It was a great time! Grandma told Mommy how I can do "So Big" all by myself now. She also told Mommy that when she called me I crawled over to her. But I haven't shown Mommy any of that stuff yet, so it isn't for sure that I can do it. Sometimes Grandma uses her imagination when it comes to these things, if you know what I mean! Oh yeah, I also stuck a puzzle piece into the VCR, but it didn't break it or anything.

The best part of staying there was that Grandpa fed me on the front porch almost every meal! I love being outside and dining "Al Fresco" is the best!

What a fun day! I slept in cause I was all worn out from my exciting day yesterday. When I got up me and Mommy played a whole bunch. She sang Old Macdonald for me and then we played patty-cake. Mommy wanted me to clap, but I didn't want to. Whenever she stopped clapping I would grab her hands and push them together. I really enjoy it when she claps, I just don't see the point in me doing it myself.

Mommy says she doesn't want to cook again till she gets back from vacation, so she ordered Chinese food tonight. I got to eat some of the yummy white rice. It was good and so fun to play with. It was really sticky though, so I did have to take a bath before I went to bed.

Tommorow my speach therapist is coming over and then we are taking Grandma and Grandpop to the airport. Then I am going to spend five fun filled days with Grandma Jan and Grandpa Don! I can't wait!!!

Happy Father's Day!

Today was great. We went to Grandma Donna's house and it was so much fun. I got to play with Grandpop and cuddle with Grandma! Then we went out to dinner and I played with a spoon and a straw, my 2 favorite restraunt toys. After dinner we went to dowtown Annapolis and walked on the dock and saw duckies! I waved at the duckies, they were so neat!

Of course, I also got to play with Daddy and give him lots of love on this special Daddy's Day!

We went to Red Robin for lunch today, it is the best restraunt ever! They have balloons and I even got my own to play with! They had these cool cardboard coasters that were really fun to chew on too. Plus, Mommy doesn't mind sharing her fries because they give you free refills there. I had never been there before today but you better believe I am going back, it was great!!!

After that we went shopping and came home. I tried to take a nap, but I couldn't fall asleep. I finally fell asleep around 7, but that meant Mommy and Daddy couldn't go out. Oh well. Tommorow is Father's Day, I can't wait to give Daddy a big hug and kiss!

I went to playgroup this morning, it was fun as usual. I got to hold hands with a really pretty girl. It was fun watching all those big kids play, they kept coming over to me and saying "baby". Maybe when I start walking like them they will stop calling me a baby!

When Daddy got home we went out to dinner at Don Pablos. I sat in a highchair and had a good time dropping stuff on the floor. I can honestly say that Don Pablos has a delicious Kid's Menu, I don't know about the food, but that menu was yummy!!!! I did manage to get a couple of tortilla chips in my mouth so that was good. After dinner we went to the mall, me and Daddy hung out while Mommy shopped. Then we all went to the food court and I had my first taste of Cinnabon, I'm addicted....it was so good!

Today was a fun day. Me and Mommy just played most of the day. Then Lindalee came over and we played too. She said I was sitting so good and then Mommy showed her how she couldn't even push me over. Just so you know, Mommy doesn't usually push me, it was just for demonstration purposes. Since I am sitting so good I got to work on pulling up. I got to pull up onto my walker wagon and that was so much fun. I love my wagon, thanks Grandma Donna and Grandpop Bill! I am actually pretty good at pulling up but I have to keep practicing so I will get stronger.

I managed to stay up until after Daddy got home so we had some nice family time. Tommorow is playgroup!!! Yeah!

I had to get my blood test today, and it wasn't fun! At first I was all excited cause we went out to a new place, but then Mommy put me on the table and the guy tied a band around my arm, that is when I figured out what was happening. Luckily the guy was good and got me on the first try, apparently I am not a "hard stick" like Mommy is. It hurt but not for long, then Mommy gave me lots of loving to make up for it.

I was back home and playing in no time! I even stayed up long enough to have Daddy feed me dinner and play with me a little. So it turned out to be a good day after all!

Today was good, nothing too exciting happened. I drank some water today from a sippy cup and I really liked it. Don't worry, Mommy took out the valve, I just chew on the sipper anyway.

My OT was supposed to come tommorow, but she had to cancel. So I have tommorow off too!!! Mommy says we might go get a blood test tommorow, but I don't wanna!!!

I waved at Daddy today, kindof. It sure looked like it was a wave and I did it while he was waving to me, but it could have been a coincidence, we will have to wait and see....

I am an expert sitter! Now I just need to figure out how to stop sitting without falling down! I played with almost all of my toys today in the sitting position. My tool bench, my farmhouse, my blocks, my tupperware container....all just as much if not more fun when I am sitting up! Once Mommy noticed how good I was sitting, she made me stand. I stood up and played at my Leapfrog table for almost a half hour, that was really fun!

Unfortunately all that fun really wore me out and I fell asleep right after Daddy got home. Oh well!

I had a whole lotta fun today! We went to a Down Syndrome group picnic with both sets of grandparents. It was really great. I got to see a lot of my friends and meet some new ones. I played with a paper cup and even drank some nice cold water out of it. I got to go around the whole party and see all kinds of people and kids. And I got to roll around outside, it was the perfect day. I also got to eat some ice cream and cake, that made it even more perfect.

The best part of the day was that I got to spend it with so many people that I love and who love me! I can't wait till next year, maybe I will be big enough to go on some of the rides!!!

It was a lot less hectic day today so I got to sleep late and have a good nap. I feel much better now.

I went over to Grandma Jan's house as usual today and it was lots of fun. We cuddled and I showed off some of my new skills, sitting and crawling. Grandpa Don took me for a walk in the stroller and I fell asleep for a little while again! I ate cheese for the first time, it wasn't bad. And I have a new toy at Grandma's it is a wand with lots of sparkly stuff in it! I love it, it is so cool!

Tommorow we all get to go to a picnic! I am so excited cause I get to see all my friends from the Down Syndrome group!

Today we got to go to playgroup and that was lots of fun. There were lots of kids there, some I had met before. I watched them play and played with them a little. It will be much easier when I can walk around like they do. When it was time to leave they all waved bye-bye to me, it didn't look to hard, I could probably do that if I wanted.

When we got home I refused to take a nap. So we went to the store to get Daddy some new clothes. While Mommy and me were looking at shoes this lady came up and asked if I had Down Syndrome. Mommy told her I did and she got all excited cause her little boy has Down Syndrome too. He is four and we have almost the same name, he is Quinten and I am Quinn! He wasn't there but we got to see pictures.

After we got home I was totally exhausted, I refused to eat dinner and cryed for an hour. I finally fell asleep, but it kinda ruined Mommy and Daddy's plans to go out to dinner. In retrospect I probably should have taken a nap, Oh well!

It was a rough day! I had the Speech Therapist and the PT come over and no nap!

The speech lady was really nice, her name is Heather. She played with me a bunch, but I didn't talk to her too much. I wasn't in the mood. She did give me a really cool piece of paper to play with, I like her!

Mommy really wanted me to take a nap between her and Lindalee, but I just couldn't. I was pretty cranky by the time Lindalee got here. I did sit really nice for her though, I just didn't feel like messing with anything else. I fell asleep right after she left, it was a really long day!

Today was a pretty busy day. First the OT came over and then my teacher. That is a lot of work for me, but I did a good job.

My OT, Michelle was very happy with how I was sitting and reaching. She wants me to rotate more when I am sitting. Why can't she just be happy I am sitting?? She kept taking my toys and putting them out of my reach to the side. That made me pretty angry, but Mommy said she was just trying to help. Mommy told her how I am getting better at feeding myself Cheerios and she said that was good. She says I am doing everything a typical kid would do, just slower.

My teacher came over and the first thing she did was tell my Mommy that she wasn't gonna be my teacher anymore! I am getting a new teacher and she is going to be my coordinator also. I hope she is as nice as Miss Norma, but less busy so she can see me more often. Since Norma and my Mommy were talking I just rolled around and talked to myself. Then Mommy sat me up so I could show Miss Norma how good I can sit. She was way impressed!

After she left I was pretty cranky. I feel asleep early. But I did get to have some cantaloupe with dinner, it was really yummy!

We have been having some computer problems, so that is why I didn't update yesterday. Stupid Comcast!

Today was lots of fun. We went to visit Grandma cause we had the day off with no appointments. It is so much fun at Grandma Donna's house. I played with all my toys, I rolled under the table, and I got to play with paper! Grandma even let me play with the phone, Mommy never lets me do that! I got to see Grandpop Bill when he came home for lunch, he made me laugh a lot! I wish we could visit Grandma everyday, I really love her and I really like cuddling under the blanket with her.

Tommorow both my teacher and OT are coming over. It is gonna be a busy day.

What a nice Sunday! We had a good relaxing family day. I woke up pretty early this morning because I couldn't wait to play with Daddy. We had lots of fun playing together, when Mommy woke up we cuddled a bit. She tried to teach me to clap again, I am almost there, but not quite ready. After a long nap we all went out for a walk. It was really hot out, but besides that it was a great walk. I leaned forward in my stroller the whole time looking at everything. When we got back Mommy tried to give me some water. I wouldn't take it from a straw so she let me drink right from the cup. It was really good water and I did a good job of drinking from the cup. I think I drank too fast though cause I spit it all up. Oh well, I guess it is just part of being a baby!

Sorry I didn't get a chance to update yesterday, but I was really worn out! I had a big day. First we got up early and went to see Dr. Moore the surgeon downtown. He pushed on my belly which I really didn't like, but said everything looked okay and I didn't need surgery yet. He said I probably don't have a hernia, but he wants us to keep an eye on it. That is good news!!

Then we came home for a quick nap before we went back downtown to see Pat Winders. Boy was she impressed with my new skills! She said I was sitting beautifully and that my crawling and standing were both really good. Now she wants me to learn how to get in and out of sitting, it is a little complicated though.

Today I went over to Grandma Jans. That was fun as usual. We played outside a little and Grandpa Don walked me around the block. I had my first taste of tofu today...it was a not-chicken-nugget, it was okay but Mommy says the real thing is much better. Mommy bought me a little kid sized beach chair tonight so I can have my own seat at the beach. Maybe by September I will be a good enough sitter to use it!

We had a little lunch party at Grandma's house today! A bunch on Grandpop Bill's friends came over cause they wanted to meet me. One brought her daughter Hailey who is just a little bit older than me. She was so much fun to play with! And she was really pretty even if I do have more hair than she does. Everyone had pizza but me, I wasn't very impressed with the way it tasted. I prefer Papa Johns, just like Grandpop!

We hung out at Grandma's house for the rest of the day and then we got to come home and see Daddy! I missed him so much. I was so excited when I saw him and got to play with him. I also missed all my cool toys.

Tommorow I have two appointments. First I have to see the surgeon again about what my mommy calls my "Banta Balls". Then we get to go see Pat Winders so I can show off my new sitting skills! I think I will pee on the doctor and sit really good for Pat! Sounds like a plan to me!!!

It was another fun day at Grandma Donna's house. She is feeling better so we even got to play together a little. We watched Higglytown Heros and I rolled all over the living room. At dinner there were noodles and I ate a couple. They were good but felt wierd in my mouth, it was more fun to play with them than it was to eat them. After dinner Grandma and Grandpop's friend Jennifer came over. She is really nice and I really liked looking at her. Her shoes were pretty cool too!

Tommorow night we are all going home. I will miss all the fun at Grandma's but it will be so good to see Daddy again!
