Today was so much fun! My cousins AJ and Jeffrey came over and they are spending the night! They played lots of video games, which I just think is so cool. Jeffrey played with me a lot and that was really nice. AJ is real funny too. We all went out to dinner and I got to chew on some yummy bread and one of Jeffrey's French Fries, yum. Then we came home and played some more, I love hanging out with big boys. I can't wait until I am old enough to really play with them a lot. I tell you, those video games look so cool. Mommy says that with Daddy as my father we will always have lots of video games around. Sounds good to me.

Yea! Daddy came home last night and I got to spend all day with him today. It was great.

We went to see Pat Winders and she was very impressed with my new skill, commando crawling! It counts as crawling but doesn't really look like it, which is why Mommy never realized that is what I was doing before. Pat said that is really great and that I am doing that way earlier than I should be. I figure that this takes some of that sitting pressure off of me. I had a lot of fun with Pat and worked really hard showing off for her. Then Mommy, Daddy, and me went out to dinner....I just wasn't in the mood. I cried the whole time and we had to leave before Mommy got to eat. By the time we got home I was all better, oh well.

Tommorow I get to go to Grandma Jan's house and then Saturday AJ and Jeffrey are coming over to play with me. It is going to be a great weekend!!!

Daddy is coming home tonight and I am so happy about that, I really missed the big guy!

Today Mommy and me played with my new blocks and I really impressed her because now I can reach into the deep bucket and take the block out myself! My OT is going to be very impressed with that. Hey, those blocks are really yummy, why wouldn't I just reach right in and grab it. After that we watched Signing Times and I really liked it this time, we got to see the whole DVD.

After dinner me and mommy went and played on her bed. Portia came over and let me pet her and I let her lick me. It was really nice getting to be close to Portia, usually she is so afraid I will pull her hair she won't get near me! She must really miss daddy if she is trying to get loving from me!

I went over to Grandma Jan's house today. I really missed her and Grandpa Don, it was fun seeing them again. Grandpa Don took me for a nice long walk and Grandma put me in the Johnny Jump Up for a while. I had a nice night tonight too, it was just me, Mommy, and Portia cause Daddy is on a business trip. I missed Daddy a whole bunch, but it was nice to just cuddle with Mommy too. We played in her big bed until I fell asleep. This was the first night in a long time I fell asleep without crying.

What a fun weekend! Grandma Jan was away so I got to hang out with Mommy and Daddy all weekend. Not that I don't love going to Grandma's, but this was fun too. On Saturday we went to a Lowes, a bunch of Asian Supermarkets, and Babies R Us. I got a new carseat for when I get to be 20 lbs, and can sit up. It looks comfy and I will be able to see out the window better.

Sunday we had even more errands to do, cause Daddy is going away for a few days. Then we went to the restraunt that has the umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. They don't have any bread there, but Mommy gave me a spoon to chew on and it was delicious! I am definately teething, chewing on stuff makes me happy.

I had today off, no one came over to work with me, I was able to just relax. I played with my new favorite toy, the train. I have figured out how to hit it so that it makes music, but doesn't roll away from me. Today I got a birthday card in the mail from my uncles Aunt Arden. It was really nice of her to think of me and there was a cute cat on the card, I really liked it!

Daddy came home a little early today and we all went out to dinner. They had really yummy bread at the restraunt we went to and I spent the whole time happily chewing on it. Then Mommy shared her dessert with me, vanilla ice cream!!! That was really yummy, but the sugar kept me up and I didn't get to sleep until after nine! Oh well, at least I got to stay up and watch Star Trek with Daddy!

I had fun today. I played with my new train and puppy a lot. The puppy is so cool, it sings all kinds of neat songs and says all kinds of funny things.

My social worker Mary came over today, that was a suprise. She was suprised too, she couldn't believe how big I am getting! She was also very impressed with my ability to push up on my arms. Mommy was very glad she came over because she said she could get me a speech therapist! Apparently Mary can work magic, especially after Mommy said she didn't want to have to get lawyers involved!

Lindalee came over today too. She put me in a sitting position and made my train go. I was so busy watching the train that I sat up on my own for a few seconds! Can't let that happen again, got to remember to throw myself back next time. She really liked all my new toys. She put me in my walker wagon and said it was perfect for me to sit in. She pulled me all around the living room. She also really liked my train, I think she is going to buy one for her son now too! He is only 3 months older than me.

It was a very good day.

Today was my official first birthday! I am ONE YEAR OLD! Can you believe it? It only feels like I am 10 months old, strange huh? I had a great day. Mommy and me played a lot and had a great time. I played in my excersaucer and was really jumping up and down, it was really cool. Michelle, my OT, came over and bounced me on her big ball. That was fun cause I like to bounce, but she kept making me sit up. I showed her some of my new toys that I got for my birthday and she was really impressed.

Grandma Donna came over for a little while to wish me a happy birthday in person. I love seeing her, she always wears a cool necklace for me to play with. She is a really good cuddler too. I got to play with Daddy a lot tonight too, so my birthday was perfect!

My teacher Norma came over this morning, but I just wasn't in the mood to be taught! I made my frowny face and even cried a little. As soon as she left I started laughing and playing again. I hope she didn't take it personally, I just didn't feel up to it.

I am starting to think about crawling. Sometimes I will bring my knees up under me when I am pushing up on my arms, but it isn't working!!! I keep going backwards, and that just isn't the point! Mommy and me watched my first Signing Times DVD today. I really liked it, there are kids on it and they show all kinds of new signs. It isn't quite as good as Teletubbies, but Mommy says it is important to learn signs. I keep looking at my hands, but haven't been able to figure out how to move them like the kids on the video yet. I will have to keep practicing.

What a weekend!!! I had such a great and exciting weekend that I didn't even get a chance to post to my blog!

Friday we spent all day at Grandma Donna's house so that Mommy could get ready for my party. It was great, I got to play with Daddy, Portia, Grandma Donna, Grandpop Bill, Great Grandma Berta, Connie, and Christine!!!! That is a lot of people to play with! It was so much fun.

Saturday was my big first birthday party! That was so cool. So many people came just to see me, it was wonderful. I was so excited I didn't even need a nap. I got held by tons of people, some I had never even met before. Then I got to eat cake. And then I got a whole lotta cool presents! What a perfect day!!!! I want to thank everyone for coming and helping to celebrate me!!

On Sunday I was totally tired from my exciting weekend, but it just keep getting more exciting! Mommy and me went to the mall and met some of our friends from the computer. I got to play with Kayla and Emily it was so much fun. Kayla is still kinda little like me so I shared my toys with her. Emily is five years old, she was lots of fun. She cuddled me and played dentist with me. They are both extra special just like me! It was so much fun, but after my long weekend I just couldn't keep my eyes open, so I did take a little nap at the mall.

Today we just slept late, thankfully. Then we played with all my new toys, I love them all! Mommy had to go see the hand doctor so I went with her. We had to wait a whole hour to see him and I just played and talked to Mommy while we were in the waiting room. She said I was a really good boy. The doctor thought I was cute and was much more interested in me than in Mommy! After he found out about my having Down Syndrome he even examined me!!! Mommy was a little suprised at that, but I didn't mind too much. I guess he wanted to check out my designer joints! He said everything was good and that I was cute, and that I was lucky to have such a great mom. He was so right!!!

I had a great day. Yesterday when my teacher came over she taught me a new trick and I practiced it lots today. She showed me that if I lift my arms up someone will pick me up and cuddle me! I did it with some encouragement from Mommy a couple of times today, and by tonight I was doing it all on my own! Mommy is very excited that I am doing my first sign, next I have to learn "more" that could really come in handy.

We are real busy getting ready for my party on Saturday, I can't wait. Mommy baked some really yummy cookies tonight, maybe she will let me taste one tommorow!

Today was kinda boring compared to my exciting weekend. Mommy and me hung out, we played a bunch. When Daddy came home we all had dinner together (well I watched), Mommy gave me one of her green beans. I really liked playing with it, but it didn't taste that good. I gave it to Portia when I was done playing with it.

Tommorow my teacher is coming over so that should be fun. Also I am going to go over to Grandma Jan's house for a little while so Mommy can do some shopping for my birthday party. I can't wait for my party, I get to see everyone I love!

I had a great time at Grandma Jan's house yesterday. We went to the mall and walked all around, it was so much fun.

Today we went over to Uncle Ian's house. That was really neat, I had never been there before. I got to play with Uncle Ian, which I really loved and hardly ever get to do. I even got to touch one of his cats! It was soft. I loved his rug cause it had this cool fringe stuff on the edge. I was so excited to be at Uncle Ian's house that I pooped twice while we were there! I think Uncle Ian was impressed!

Today was fun. I sat in my laundry basket and as you can see, Mommy finally took a picture of me in it! I had a bath, which I really love cause I get to be totally naked, that is the coolest. Then when Daddy got home we went over to Grandma Jan's and now I am spending the night there!!! I am so excited. Grandma is going to take me to the mall with her tommorow and we get to go to the bookstore. I wonder if she will buy me anything??

Also when we got over to Grandma's she had a bunch of new toys people had given her for me. There was a really neat mat that was like a piano and I can play it with my hands. You can change the sounds from music to dogs barking, cats meowing, all kinds of neat sounds. There were lots of other toys too, I am one lucky kid!

I am not doing so good with updating lately. Sorry, I will try harder.

Today I practiced sitting a lot using Mommy's new idea. I sit in the laundry basket with my Boppy in front of me. This way I don't fall as easy and I can prop my hands on the Boppy. Mommy must really love me and want me to sit, cause she gave me her best laundry basket! And laundry baskets are in high demand around here, cause Mommy would rather play with me than put laundry away. Anyway, I love the laundry basket, it is really cool and it does help me sit.

I had a fun day, Daddy came home early..yea! Mommy started kissing me all over my face and I loved that. It made me laugh out loud, she is the best! Tommorow I am gonna spend the night at Grandma Jan's house cause Mommy and Daddy are going to a Conference that is all about how they can help me. Sounds boring, I will have much more fun at Grandma's house!

Finally, a blog update! Sorry, I have been very busy and we have had some computer problems.

On Friday we went to New York for a wedding. It was lots of fun. I was very good and quiet during the ceremony. Everyone said how cute I was in my suit, but Mommy forgot to bring the camera battery so there are no pictures. I didn't mind the long car ride cause I just love looking in my mirror and out the window.

Sunday we went over to Grandma Donna's and Grandpop Bills house to pick up Portia. Portia must have missed me cause she gave me a big kiss! We went out to dinner and I ate a french fry, well it is more like I played with it, but you get the idea. It was a fun night.

Today I went over to Grandma Jan's for a little while. It was lots of fun, Grandpa Don took me for a walk. They got me all kinds of neat books while they were at the Grand Canyon, and a really cute hat.
