Today I mostly just hung out with Daddy and Great Grandma Berta. It was pretty fun, I haven't hung out with Daddy in a while! While I was taking a nap Mommy went out and got everything set up for me at my new school! She had to give them all kinds of information about me. She said it was a really nice school and I am really gonna love it. She said the school nurse is especially nice, just in case I skin my knee on the playground or something. She also left a note for my teacher so hopefully we can go visit my class soon. I probably won't officially start school until April 23rd though. I gotta be three first!

Tonight Grandma Donna came over. She didn't stay too long, but she did feed me dinner and play with me a little. Then she left and took Great Grandma Berta with her!! I was so sad to see them both go, I even got a little upset.

Quinn got this bouncing zebra toy for Christmas. It completely terrified him at the time... not anymore!!!

Code Yellow!!! Code Yellow!!! We have a Code Yellow at our house tonight! There is a water main break up the street and none of the toilets are flushing. There are times that I am really glad I wear a diaper, and this is one of them!

Today was really fun. We went to speech at Loyola this morning and we brought Grandma Berta with us! I did a really good job. I signed "more bubbles" that is almost a sentence! My teacher showed me the computer and there were lots of pictures for me to choose from. Guess what I chose? The banana of course! She wasn't signing it right though, she kept signing "b", so I straightened her out and showed her the right sign.

My teacher came over this afternoon too. First I pretended that I didn't know how to sign "more" but then I did it for her. Then I crawled over to the front door (Mommy forgot to lock it), and turned the knob and opened it! I am such a tricky little boy! Grandma Donna came over today and Mommy made homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner. I ate lots of chicken and carrots, yum!

Tonight Quinn decided to climb up into this chair with his Elmo and Snoopy. He sat there and watched the Food Network like a big boy!

Me, Mommy, and Cooper went to a birthday party today and it was awesome!!! It was my friend Jack's party, he just turned three. It was really fun, it was a Cars(the movie) theme and I loved waving the little racing flags that his mom put out. There were also balloons everywhere, but the strings were too short so I couldn't reach them when I was on the floor. One really nice little boy kept handing me a balloon, but I liked watching it go up to the ceiling over and over so he got tired of handing it back to me...can't blame him. I love going to Jacks house, he has the best toys and between them and all the kids I didn't even try to stick my head out the doggie door this time! Jack is one of my favorite friends, he is always so nice to me. We were playing in the playroom and I heard him tell his mom how happy he was that I had come to his party! What a nice thing to say, I was pretty happy about it too. I had a great time, I did get a little nervous when they sang Happy Birthday, but I didn't cry. I was also really dissapointed that the pinata was full of candy, I hate candy!

That is pretty much all we did today. Couldn't go to Grandma Jan's because she is away visiting my cousin Zoe. Tommorow Grandma Donna and Grandpop Bill are coming over and they are bringing Great Grandma Berta with them!!! She is gonna stay with us for a little while, I am so excited to see her!

There was a lot of excitement here today! This morning the guy came over to fix the furnace. He was nice, he said hi to me and everything, he fixed that furnace real quick too!

When I woke up from my nap Grandma Donna was here! Mommy wasn't, but who cares as long as Grandma is around! We played and had a great time while Mommy was at the doctors, it was great.

And just when I thought the day couldn't get any better Grandma Jan and Grandpa Don came over!! They ordered a pizza and we all ate dinner together while Mommy and Daddy went out. Then I got a bath and took a walk around the block with Grandpa, it was so much fun!!!

This morning we went to the doctors. I wasn't too happy about it, but Mommy promised we were only going for Cooper. Then she made the doctor look in my ears too...no fair! At least now we know they aren't still infected.

When we were getting ready to go this morning Mommy had just strapped me in my seat and the door was still open. Guess who walked by?? A nun! Now, Mommy might be afraid of nuns but i'm not, I did spend two months of my life in a Catholic hospital! So I took one look at that nice lady with the long flowing habit and I smiled at her, waved, and said something that sounded just like "Hiya!" She said "Hiya" right back, what a nice nun!

This afternoon Lindalee came over for PT. I showed her how I can kinda take a step towards Mommy, but I didn't do as good as yesterday. She was still impressed though. Cooper kept getting in the way as usual. We were working on standing at the easel and he came over and wormed his way up there too. Then Lindalee was trying to play with me and he kept crawling in between us! Ummm Cooper, you are nine months old and already crawling, pulling to stand, and cruising...you don't need PT!!! Besides, Lindalee is all mine, you can't have her! :)

Happy World Down Syndrome Day!!!!

Yup, it is a day just to celebrate great people just like me! Mommy, you really should have thrown a party, I bet you make a mean chromosome cake! :)

We didn't have a party, just a normal day. Actually it wasn't completely normal, Grandpop Bill stopped by for a while. I was so surprised to see him that it took me a few minutes to loosen up. But then we wrestled and played and even practiced walking. I walked to Mommy a couple of times and I took some real nice steps. Granpop looked at some house stuff and met with the furnace guy, then he left, darn. I am sure I will be seeing more of him though, there is a lot to do before we move!!

Tuesday mornings are the best!! That is when I go to speech at Loyola. Today was really fun. We played and got to work on the computer too. They have a touch-screen there and it is really cool, I wish Mommy had one too. After that we went to the motor room. Not only was my girlfriend Mary there, but there was also another little boy our age! I can't remember his name, but we can just call him my "competition". We all sat in a circle and sang songs and rolled the ball back and forth. It was so great! That is what I will be doing at speech this summer...but only if I am walking. This not walking thing is really starting get in the way!

When we got home I took a long nap. Then I had nuggets for dinner and then me and Cooper played until it was time for bed. He is a pretty fun guy to have around now that he is mobile!

We had a busy day! My OT came over this morning. I haven't seen her for a long time and she was very impressed with my OTing! :) Cooper kept coming over and trying to take the toys we were working with away, he is such a goofball. My teacher was also supposed to come over today. She didn't though....me and Mommy waited and waited and she never showed :( So we ate lunch and took a quick nap. Well, Mommy napped, I just played in my crib. Then we got up and all went to Mommy's doctors appointment. It was fun even though I didn't get out of my stroller. I read a pamphlet about bone loss and smiled at everyone I saw.

When we finally got home I crashed and slept for the rest of the night. Daddy woke me up to feed me and give me a bath, but I didn't appreciate it one bit.

We moved back home yesterday! I am really going to miss seeing Grandma Donna and Grandpop Bill everyday, but I sure am glad to be home! When we got back Grandpa Don and Grandma Jan came over and Grandpa took me sledding. It was so much fun that I cried when it was time to come home. After we picked up Grandma and Cooper we all went to Chick-fil-a for dinner. The chicken was really yummy, but I wasn't in the mood to play in the kids area. I still had a really fun night hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa.

Today we just hung out at home. I showed Cooper all the cool toys that he couldn't get to last time we were here. I also tried to give him some tips on crawling on hardwood but he didn't get it. I slept extra late today, I can't believe how much more comfortable my crib is than that pack and play!!!

 

Quinn went sledding with Grandpa Don yesterday. He had a blast!!

We went to the mall today to meet with Lindalee again! It was really fun as usual. I did much better with my steering today too! Guess who was at the mall?? The Easter Bunny! He didn't have any kids with him when I walked by him so he kept waving at me. I stopped my walker and waved right back at him! Mommy was really impressed that I did that cause I was totally out of my element and I usually freeze up in those situations.

Usually I just window shop a little, but today I was in the mood to buy! First I went right up the the little stand in the middle that had lots of big necklaces and belt buckles, all blinged out of course. Lindalee thought I was looking at the Superman belt buckle, but no...I was totally checking out the initial necklaces that were big as my head and covered with diamonds (well fake diamonds anyway). I was really dissapointed though, they didn't have any Q's! Then I went into the teddy bear store and was checking everything out. Then I walked over to H&M but decided it wasn't my style.

I walked over to the bench and climbed right out of my walker and up onto it. I like to stand facing the back and look around. It was funny cause there was another bench backed right up to the one I was on and there were two tough looking guys sitting on it. Mommy and Lindalee looked nervous when I popped my head over right between them and started babbling. They were nice guys though, they just smiled at me and said hi!

It was quite an exciting outing to the mall!

I slept late this morning so I missed my morning snack with Grandma. When Mommy finally got up and came into the hallway I looked right at her and said, "Eat,eat"! I was really hungry!! Then she took me downstairs and changed my diaper. The whole time I kept saying "Eat,eat"! So she asked me "What do you want to eat Quinn?" and I signed "banana"! It was almost like we had a real conversation, communication rocks! Plus, I got my banana right away, yum!

Not much else happened today. I messed the TV up so that it was either sound with no picture or picture with no sound. Mommy kept trying to fix it and it was making me really mad that it wasn't working right. Maybe I shouldn't play with the remote anymore.

All Better! I am not feeling sick anymore at all. My nose is still running, but the rest of me is fine. This morning Grandma Donna went to work late so she got me and Cooper up in the morning and fed us and dressed us so Mommy could sleep in. It was great, thanks Grandma!!!

After Mommy got up we all went to speech at Loyola. I had a great time playing with Miss Jennifer. We played with all kinds of fun toys and then we went to the motor room. It was fun even though Mary wasn't there, she was sick :(

When we got home I took a short nap and then played some more. I have a lot of playtime to make up from when I was sick!

I didn't feel much better today. My fever went away but I still felt yucky and tired. All I wanted to do was watch the Wiggles. Thank goodness for DVR! I also didn't feel like eating so all I had were a couple of crackers and some cereal, and then I would only eat those in front of the TV! I didn't even get a good nap, I felt so bad.

When Grandma Donna got home I suddenly felt a whole lot better! She bought me a bunch of cool books during lunch today and I was so excited to read them. I also started playing a little more and crawling around. While Mommy was making dinner I crawled right into the kitchen and signed "banana" and said "eat". She gave me my banana (how could she not?) and I ate the whole thing! So I am obviously on the mend.

Guess who's turn it is to be sick! Mine!!! I woke up this morning feeling really bad. I had a snotty nose and a fever. I was so tired I didn't even want to play. All I wanted to do was watch TV. When Mommy woke up I was laying on the sofa with my head in Grandma's lap, sound asleep! If you know me you know that is really unusual. I am feeling a little better now. I hate being sick cause all I want to do is play!

I wasn't feeling too great today. My nose is all runny and I was pretty tired. I slept a lot more than usual, but that is just how I make myself better. The good news is I did get to eat pizza for lunch, yum! We went across the street to visit some neighbors and I had a great time exploring their house. I love to go visiting!

Mommy bought me some new sippy cups that say the valve is guaranteed not to fall out, I will see about that! I am an expert valve-remover and mess-maker!

We went to the mall again today and it was so much fun! We met Lindalee and then I walked around the mall in my walker and Mommy and Lindalee chased me. I tend to run into people and things, I am not the best steerer yet. Today I discovered I could walk right up to the big glass windows in front of stores. They usually had words written on them right where I could reach. Lindalee would read each letter out loud when I pointed to it, she is almost as good as my leapfrog magnets! After I walked some I got to climb and play on the little rides. Mommy didn't bother putting any money in cause I was having fun and I probably wouldn't have liked them if they started moving anyway.

Tonight I only got to play with Grandma and Grandpop a little bit cause they had a meeting. Instead I played with my magnets and danced!

Even when he isn't feeling well he is still such a sweetheart!

I took a sick day today! I am not sick, but Mommy and Cooper are so we cancelled everything! That is okay by me. I had a great time playing and exploring Grandma Donna's house. The only thing that wasn't good was Mommy was too sick to really play with me. The real fun started when Grandma Donna and Grandpop Bill got home. Me and Granpop wrestled and practiced walking. I took one really nice good step towards Mommy, the best one yet! We had yummy chicken for dinner and I used a real big persons fork. Then I showed everyone how I can do "Twinkle, twinkle". After that everyone sat around the table and sang songs. Grandpop is so silly, he doesn't know any of the hand movements so he makes up his own goofy ones!

I had a great weekend!

Yesterday was lots of fun. In the morning Grandma Donna and Grandpop Bill took me to the playground and I had a great time. Then we went to Grandma Jan's house. She surprised me by giving me a TMX Elmo! I love it, Elmo is so cool, he giggles and rolls and shakes. I also got some new books and a pull toy that lights up. There wasn't even a special occasion, it was just cause Grandma Jan and Grandpa Don love me! How cool is that?

Then we went to the supermarket which is really fun. I never get to go with Mommy cause we have our groceries delievered. Then we went out to dinner at Boston Market, I decided I don't like Boston Market and wouldn't eat anything! Oh well.

Today we hung around the house and played. Grandma, Mommy, and Cooper are all sick! We had tacos for dinner and I really enjoyed them! The taco meat, cheese, and macaroni were all extra yummy! After dinner Grandma gave me a really fun bath!

I got to hang out with Daddy all day today! I love happy Fridays!!

Tonight when Grandma got home I was so happy to see her that I waved and blew her a kiss. Then Mommy and Daddy went out and me and Grandma hung out alone, well not totally alone, Cooper was there too. We played a bunch, we ate animal crackers, and then we watched Finding Nemo! When Mommy got home we played some too, and she taught me how to sing "Twinkle,Twinkle, Little Star" I can't sing it, but I can do almost all the hand motions. I move my fingers like twinkling stars, then I hold my hands out like I wonder where they are, then I put my hands up in the air to show the stars up high. The only thing I can't figure out yet is how to put make a diamond with my fingers. That is kinda complicated. Mommy was really impressed I learned the whole song in just a few tries!

Mommy already told the story of my day with all the pictures and videos below, but I will give you a couple more highlights! This afternoon we went to the mall to meet my PT Lindalee cause we are in Annapolis right now and that is too far for her to drive. That meant that I had to get up earlier than usual from my nap, and well....it wasn't pretty. But I cheered up when we got in the car cause I figured we were going somewhere good. I was so happy to see Lindalee! We walked around the mall for a little while in my walker and then I got to crawl a little bit. I liked to crawl for a bit, then stop and sit there and look around. There is lots of great stuff to look at at the mall. At one point a man came by me and he had a walker just like mine, but bigger! I pointed right at him and said "aye", I was telling him he was doing a good job...he sure steered better than I do! After that we went to The Children's Place, they have a small play area so me and Lindalee played in there for a while. Then we said bye to Lindalee and went shopping. I got new shoes!!! Real Converse Hi-Tops this time! Mommy couldn't remember how the cool kids used to lace them though, so they aren't extra cool or anything.
