I had a pretty good day today. When Mommy and me woke up this morning we played a whole bunch. I mostly played and Mommy watched, I am a very independent little boy so I prefer to play alone most of the time. I did set a little time aside to cuddle with Mommy though, she wasn't feeling great this morning so she needed a snuggle!

My speech therapist came over today. I did a great job with her! I didn't talk much but I did do everything she asked. And I did it all almost perfectly! Mommy couldn't believe her eyes, she asked me "Who are you and what did you do with my baby?" First the therapist wanted me to stack cups, I was so eager to stack them I didn't even wait to be told! I did it twice, smiling and laughing the whole time. I didn't even need any help because I stacked them all perfectly all by myself! Then she took out that ball that has all of the shape slots to put blocks in. Usually that really frustrates me, but today I just grabbed the first block and started to put it in the hole. I did the whole thing with only a little help. Mommy said she was really proud of me!

The only bad part of today was that Daddy never came home from work! Mommy says he is in Alabama for a few days but will be back really soon! I sure hope so!

I had the day off from therapy so me and Mommy slept in and hung out! My favorite toy of the day was the little green guy in the car that Grandma Jan put in my stocking on Christmas. I pushed him around the living room for at least and hour and laughed everytime he made his funny noise! I used to be a little scared of that toy, but now I love it! Mommy and me read a book about how much Elmo loves me, and what love is all about. I love Mommy, Daddy, and Portia. I know Mommy loves me cause she always gives me lots of kisses. I would say the same about Portia, but she kisses then growls, so I am confused. Daddy shows his love in more manly ways, like giving me tons of cheese curls.

Mommy says that Daddy is going away for work for a few days. I am really gonna miss him!!! I sure hope he hurries back!

Not much happened today. I slept late cause I was up really late on Saturday night having fun! Then me and Daddy watched a lot of Futurama. I am getting really good at cruising from one piece of furniture to the other. Mommy hasn't been making me walk a lot cause her back is hurting, but that is okay by me! I am just gonna do it when I want to anyway.

My new favorite game is peekabo. I like to pull the non-skid stuff off my chair and hold it in front of my face. Then Mommy says "Where's Quinn?" and I drop the non-skid stuff and she says "There he is!" then I laugh really hard for a few minutes and we start all over! I know I used to play a game like that when I was really little, but this is different cause I am controlling it!

I have the day off tommorow, no therapy! Yea!

Today was super fun! I got to go over to Grandma Jan's house and we had a great time. First I played a bunch with Grandma Jan and then me, Grandma, and Grandpa Don all went to the mall. This time I didn't ride the merry-go-round, but I did get to play on one of the little mechanical rides they had. I really liked playing with the steering wheel, it was really fun till Grandma put some quarters in the machine...that was a little scary. After that we went to the food court for dinner. I had chicken nuggets again and they were yummy. I also got to drink some milkshake! Yummers!!! Now if Mommy could give me that in my sippy cup I wouldn't throw it on the floor as much! I had such a great time at the mall with my grandparents!

I had my first appointment at the Loyola Speech Center today! It was really fun! I love that place, first of all the elevator is awesome!! We got in, Mommy faced me toward the doors as usual, and then they closed. What a suprise, full length mirrors! I could see myself and Mommy and I loved it, I started laughing, how cool! Then we got to the speech place and went into this neat playroom. Mommy said the therapist had called to ask what I liked and it was all there! There was a kitchen with a big door for me to play with. Lots of cars and trucks. A big bucket of balls. And even a Chicken Dance Elmo! It was soooo great! Then the therapist just left us alone to play for a while. There was also a big mirror in the room that Mommy kept looking at, I wonder why. Mommy also kept turning me so I was facing that mirror, she was acting funny.

After all of that playing I got pretty sleepy so by the time the therapist came back in I was ready for a nap. I got kinda cranky with her and when Mommy left I started to cry. 11 AM is jut not the best time for me, but Mommy says we are stuck with it so we have to adjust. I slept the whole way home and then took a long nap.

Later my other speech therapist came over. We read some books and played. She gave me this cool plastic spider to play with which I really liked. I was in a good mood so I did talk for her a little, she was really impressed. Then Daddy came home and we played until it was bedtime. It was a pretty fun day!

I had eggs again for breakfast today and they were really yummy. Unfortunately Mommy says no more eggs for a while...since she saw them again only a little while after I ate. Oh well, I didn't used to be able to eat yogurt either, but now I eat it everyday and don't get sick!

Lindalee came over today. Mommy had to wake me up early from my nap for the appointment so I was a little sleepy. But I did manage to climb 9 stairs all by myself! Lindalee stayed behind me for safety and so that I wouldn't slid backwards, but she was really impressed with my climbing skills. I am getting good at climbing, I almost made it over the back of the green sofa today all by myself. I could have done it too, but Mommy grabbed my leg!

Grandma Donna came over after work today and it was great! We cuddled and read books. She helped Mommy with some stuff and then we all went to play in my room. I love it when Grandma comes over, I wish she would come over every day!!!!

Tommorow I go to my new speech program for the first time. Mommy says I better like it cause we will be going there a lot! My speech teacher is also coming over tommorow to make up her other session, it is gonna be a long day!

I had eggs for breakfast today! At first I wasn't going to eat it, Mommy put some on my tray and I picked it up, smushed it in my hand and was about to feed it to Portia. But then Mommy picked some up and put it in her mouth, so I decided to give it a try. It was really yummy! I think I might eat some eggs again sometime. Mommy also gave me some apple juice in a sippy cup. She just gave me the cup and told me I could do what I wanted with it. So I took a couple of sips all by myself, but then I was done and just kept throwing it on the floor.

My OT came over today. We did puzzels and I did really good. She said that she wan't going to keep trying to teach me to clap, cause I am just going to do it when I am ready. She is right! I don't need to clap, I have my "jazz hands" for when I am happy or excited. Tonight me and Mommy were playing and I walked down the sofa and discovered lots of cool things on the side table. There was my Spongebob toothbrush that vibrates. I had a good time playing with that and laughed everytime Mommy held it to my face and made it go. I also found some little bells from a wedding we went to. We had a great time making them ring! I really liked the way they sound!

This morning my teacher came over. I was much more cooperative with her today. I showed her how good I can do puzzles and how I can push shapes through holes. She brought a really cool puzzle that I really liked, especially the piece with the letters on it. ABC, interesting!

I also got some good playing in this morning. I crawled into the corner underneath the chair and got kinda stuck. But I managed to climb over the bottom of the chair to get out, it was tough but I didn't want to make Mommy come get me. Then I had a great time opening and closing the door on my kitchen. It was a fun morning.

My speech therapist was supposed to come over today, but she called and cancelled at the very last minute. Mommy was kinda mad, but it was okay with me. More time to play! Now she is coming on Friday instead. I need to learn to talk so I can tell Mommy I am getting too much therapy! Sheesh, I hardly ever get a day off anymore!!

Happy Birthday Grandma Jan!!!

Today me and Mommy just hung out and played. We were supposed to go to playgroup, but it was canceled cause my teacher was sick. That is okay, we were both too sleepy to go anyway! Instead I had a great time playing right here at home! I really love my play kitchen, it is the only place I am allowed to open and close doors as much as I like! I opened one of the doors and was suprised to find some pots and pans. There was that pan with the mirror in the bottom that I really like. I kept holding it away from my face, then bringing it really close...it was cool my eye kept getting bigger and then smaller.

When Daddy got home we played a little and then watched Futurama, that show is cool! Mommy was snacking on wheat thins tonight and I decided I wanted one, so I crawled over and asked for one (with my eyes..no signs). It was really yummy so when a piece dropped on the floor I grabbed it up real fast before Portia could get it. Then I asked for another, and Grandma thought they were too sharp for me! Not sharp, Yummy!

I had another really great day again today! We went over to Grandma Donna's house and it was really fun. I stood at the coffee table and ate cheese and crackers , of course I shared them with Portia. Then I played with all my toys that they keep over there and went expolring. I especially like playing in the kitchen, Mommy never lets me play in the kitchen at home! Grandma and me also read a book about boats and she said we can go sailing this summer, cool!!! I got to play with Grandpop Bill a little too, but he can't do much cause his arm is still in a sling. Mostly he and Daddy just watched football anyway. I watched some too, I really like football...but it isn't quite as good as Teletubbies.

The best part of the night was when I got tired and cuddled up in Grandma's arms. She is so comfy that I fell asleep, it was really nice. I love my Grandma Donna.

Today was so cool! I went over to Grandma Jans and then she and Grandpa Don took me too the mall. Now I usually really like the mall, but today it was extra fun! We went for a ride on the Merry-Go-Round. I really liked that after I got over my initial fears. After that we went and had dinner at the food court. Grandma bought me my very first Happy Meal! I ate two whole chicken nuggets and some french fries. It came with a really cool toy too...I love McDonalds! Mommy says I am probably hooked for life now, cause they like to get them young. Maybe when I start talking I can call it Mister Donalds, just like my cousin Aaron did when he was little! Mommy says that would be extra cute. While we were at the mall Grandma bought me a new pair of shoes. They are really cool, they have robots on them! I really needed some new shoes, now I have room to wiggle my toes, Thanks Grandma!!!

After the mall we went back to Grandma's house and I played and played. There were some new toys there that Grandma's friend gave her for me. I really liked them. I also really liked playing with all of the vaccum bags that Grandma didn't need anymore! I am pretty talented at making anything a toy, it's a gift.

Tommorow we go over to Grandma Donna's house for another fun-filled day! I can hardly wait!

I am 21 months old today! Mommy says she can't believe how close I am getting to being two. Wow, two!

Today Daddy stayed home and we played all morning. I got out all of my toys and spread them all around the living room. When Mommy came down she waved hello to me and even though I was playing and on my stomach, I gave her a big smile and a wave hello! I just love my Mommy so much! My teacher came over today and I just wasn't in the mood to show off my waving. She made me do a bunch off stuff I didn't want to, but then she gave me the clapping hands toy to play with. I love that toy and can just wave it around all day, she said since I liked it so much I could keep it!!! What a nice teacher!

Tommorow I am off to Grandma Jan's house. It is going to be another fun weekend!

This morning Mommy and me went downtown to see Pat Winders. We went to her office so there wasn't any valet parking like usual. There also weren't any parking spots! We had to park under the garage and Mommy had to carry me in my stoller up a flight of steps! Boy did she complain about that! I thought it was pretty fun though. Unfortunately it was a little too early for me and I didn't cooperate very well with Pat. She tried to make me walk, which I did a little, but then she swung me in the air and I cried the rest of the time we were there. She kinda scared me and I wasn't in the mood anyway. I slept the whole way home and took a really long nap.

Then Lindalee came over and I did better with her. I showed her how I can walk in my walker and I climbed a bunch of stairs with no help from her at all! And when it was time for her to leave I waved Bye-bye and she was really impressed with that! She said when it gets warmer we can go to the playground for our physical therapy, that would be cool!

Grandma Donna was supposed to come over tonight, but she couldn't cause she had to work. I really missed her!

My teacher didn't come over today cause it was raining really bad this morning. I understand, I don't like going out in the rain either. Thankfully she called before Mommy woke me up so I got to sleep in. My Speech Therapist did come over today. It was pretty fun. She had this piano like toy and I was really good at playing it. I would play the music and she would sing the song. Everytime I stopped playing she would stop singing, so then I would start again and she would sing..it was cool, we were jammin! She also tried to put frosting on my lips but I wouldn't let her. I can also tell the difference between a doggie and a bannana. Well duh, not like that is hard! But I proved it by picking the right pictures so she and Mommy were very impressed.

Tommorow we have to get up super duper early to go see Pat Winders. I can't wait it is always fun going to play with her!!! Then Lindalee is coming over, and then Grandma Donna...it should be a great day!

Me and mommy went to see her doctor today. It was pretty fun, I like going there cause everyone there makes a big deal about how cute I am. I am pretty cute! I got kinda bored cause we had to wait a long time, but Mommy gave me this cool piece of train track that they had in the office and that kept me happy and busy for a long time. They also have lollipops there, but Mommy says I can't have one till I am older.

Since we were out I missed my nap. I didn't let that stop me from playing though. I still stayed up so that Daddy and me could play before I went to bed. It was fun. Tommorow my teacher is coming over and then my speech therapist.

Mommy is really excited cause next Friday I have me first appointment at the Loyola Speech Center. I am not so thrilled, don't I have enough therapists!!?? Oh well, Mommy says it might be fun, we will see.

I slept in pretty late today cause I had such a big weekend. When I woke up I was really hungry so Daddy feed me a really big meal that he called brunch. We had a good time playing together while Mommy slept in really really late. When Mommy got up she and I cuddled a bunch and she read me some books. We read one called "Little Gorilla" and it was all about how a little gorilla got real big, but everyone still loved him. Mommy said I am her little gorilla and that she will always love me! Even if I get as big as Daddy!

When it was time for bed Mommy changed me and gave me big raspberries on my belly. I love that and it got me all hyped up. She tried to read to me to calm me down but it didn't work. I got to stay up longer and eat lots of cheese curls! When all the cheese curls were gone I waved my hand in the air and made a sound like "all gone", but Mommy says it doesn't count unless I make the sign the way she showed me! Oh well....they were definately all gone.

I had such a fun weekend! On Friday night Grandma Donna took me over to her house and I stayed with her and Grandpop Bill until Sunday morning! That was a long trip away from Mommy, but I barely missed her cause I was having so much fun. I got to explore every inch of Grandma's house and play with all my GrandmaDonna's house toys! You can see from the pictures below just how much fun I had. And on Saturday we even went on a playdate. I had a good time watching my new friend Hailey play and I got to play with a doggie that is almost 10 times as big as Portia! It was great!

Today when Grandma and Grandpop dropped me off, I cried cause I didn't want them to go. Then I took and extra long nap cause they really wore me out. After I got up I went to Grandma Jan's house to play. That was lots of fun too! It was a really great Grandparent filled weekend! The best part is that Daddy has tommorow off so Mommy, Daddy, and me still get to spend a whole day together!

Here is Quinn, completely and totally exhausted from his exciting weekend at Grandma Donna's house! 

My OT came over today. We worked on a puzzel and I did a great job! She was really impressed, I guess she could tell Mommy and me had been practicing. I did really good and getting all of the shapes in the general area and got the easy shapes to fit right where they should. I really had a good time doing that puzzle too, I laughed the whole time! She is coming back tommorow, today was just a make-up.

Tonight I was playing at the coffee table but wanted to get to Mommy. She was too far to reach but she put out her hands and I grabbed them and walked right over to her. That walking is easy when there is somewhere you really want to go!!!

Today after breakfast Mommy made me walk from the dining room to the living room again! I guess she is feeling better....I think I liked her better when she was sick. Then when I got into the living room I got very upset and started crying. It was because my really cool toy that I told you about wasn't there anymore!! But Mommy showed me it was in my room now, so I calmed down. I had a good time playing with it up there too, plus I always love playing in my room...it is fun up there!

Mommy also got out the new utensils that go with my kitchen set, they were from Grandma Jan. I really like the frying pan cause there is a mirror inside it. Plus it has a short handle and I like to put it in my mouth and use my lips to make it flip up and down. Mommy says I could flip a pancake that way! She also says I am goofy:)

Before I went to bed I made Mommy read me my favorite book, the Elmo one. We had a great time flipping up all the little tabs!

I got the best thing ever today!!! Grandma Donna had gotten me this playwall thingee for Christmas, but Daddy never put it together. Well, he did tonight and that thing is totally awesome!!! Mommy literally had to hold me back while he put it together cause it looked so neat. There are places I can crawl through, stuff I can grab, and handles so I can pull myself up on it! My favorite part is the hanging blow-up ball, that has lots of other stuff inside it. I played with that part for a really long time. Too bad we don't have a bigger house, Mommy says there isn't room in the living room for it right now so I have to use it in my bedroom.

Besides that it was a pretty good day. I watched football with Daddy. I wasn't in the mood to eat much. Mommy had gotten a sweet potatoe with sugar and cinnamon on it by mistake at dinner last night, so she brought it home for me to eat. I don't know why she didn't want it, cinnamon and sugar make it YUMMY! I really tired myself out playing with my new toy so I went to sleep early. Can't wait to wake up tommorow and play some more!

I had a really fun day. I woke up really early and played with Daddy all morning! After my nap we all went over to Grandma Jan's house. I was feeling a little cranky before we got there, but once we were there I was suddenly in the best mood!!! Grandpa Don took me for a really long walk. I know it is cold but they bundle me up pretty good, they even make me wear a hat, which I hate. I love my walks with Grandpa.

It was a fun night hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa. The only thing is that I haven't really felt like eating much lately. So even though they gave me Teddy Grahms I didn't eat them. Mommy says it is probably a stage, who knows??!!!

Today was a much better day!!!

First of all Daddy stayed home so we got to play together all day long. We hung out and watched the Simpsons, stuff like that. The good news for today is that Mommy is feeling much better! She got out of bed and came downstairs just to play with me. She must have missed me just as much as I missed her. We played a bit and cuddled a whole lot. I really love my mommy!

I had such a busy day of playing that I went to sleep early, so I didn't get to spend as much time with Mommy as I wanted, oh well. Tommorow I am gonna go over to Grandma Jan's house so that should be lots of fun!!! I can't wait!

My poor Mommy is still sick! I wish those silly doctors could just make her better so we could play. Instead they just want her to wait until her strength comes back! Well the good part is that Mommy was so sick today Grandma Donna had to come over and take care of me! I love Grandma Donna sooooo much! She left work early just to come over and play with me and kiss me!

I showed her all my new toys and she read me some books. Then she put me in my walker by the kitchen so I could help her clean out the fridge. I helped by pulling stuff off the front of the fridge and playing with the magnets. Then when the Peapod guy came I wanted to see what was going on outside so I just walked real fast over to the door! All the way from the kitchen to the front door, no problem! Grandma couldn't believe her eyes, of course when she tried to get me to show Mommy I wouldn't. I am not some kind of circus preformer, I'm a kid!!!

Tommorow Daddy has the day off so he can take care of me. I love the big guy, but I do miss Mommy!!!

Hi Everyone!

I know it has been a while since I updated but it has been a rough new year for my Mommy. She got really sick on New Years morning with a bad bad stomach flu. She is doing okay now, but she has been really worn out since being so sick for so long. Since I can't really type (or talk for that matter), I really need my Mommy to help me update my blog. She says she will try harder.

I had a fun couple of days. I got to spend a lot of time with Daddy cause Mommy was so sick. And when Daddy has to go to work I get to watch a whole bunch of TV, so Mommy can rest. Mommy says I am the best little boy in the whole world for not giving her a hard time while she is sick. I am really just so good cause I love her sooooo much! I hope she is all better soon cause I miss playing with her.
